Our History
The East Antrim Therapy Centre was formed in Larne
in 1988 to raise funds to help provide facilities for those with
Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The specialist chamber, paid for by the RAMS (Race Against MS)
Committee, was completed in April 1992. The chamber was
installed and tested by Diveline Limited.
The first treatment session took place on the 29th May 1992.
At first only MS patients used the therapy but over the years
various ailments as diverse as sports injuries and cerebral
palsy have been added to the list.
In 2002, a generous offer from Lafarge Cement to
use their old offices at Magheramorne resulted in the centre
moving to our current premises.
To coincide with the move we changed our name from 'East Antrim
Therapy Centre' to 'The Oxygen Therapy Centre'. |
