Having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 10 Years
ago my mobility was slowly decreasing.
About 5 years ago The Oxygen Therapy Centre was
recommended to me as possibly being of some benefit so I
started having treatments in the chamber on a regular
basis, which seemed to help my condition.
This year the addition of a magnetic therapy treatment
bed seems to compliment this treatment greatly.
After the first few sessions I was not noticing any
changes but thought I should persevere for a few more
treatments.
My condition gave me a mixture of days when I felt
well and then days when my symptoms felt a lot worse.
Now I am feeling, although my condition remains, my
bad days are nowhere near as severe as they had been, so
I think the muscle stimulation of magnetic therapy must
be reinforcing the high dosage oxygen therapy treatments
I take.
Although this result was not immediately evident, it
has certainly been well worth persevering with and I
would not hesitate to highly recommend this treatment to
others who have MS, as I have found this to be as good,
if not better than any of the drugs I have been given to
date. |

The Oxygen Therapy Centre has been in the
Larne area since 1988. At first only MS patients used the
therapy but over the years various ailments as diverse
as sports injuries and cerebral palsy have been added to
the list.
Patients are treated in a specialised pressure
chamber where they can breathe Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO).
HBO is not a cure but can be effective in helping to heal
wounds and avoid deterioration in illnesses such as
Multiple Sclerosis.
The Oxygen Therapy Centre is a non-profit-making
association, which raises finances through subscriptions,
donations and fund-raising.
Reported benefits of HBOT are improvements in:- |
